For over 25 years Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program’s (BHCHP) mission has remained the same: to provide or assure access to the highest quality health care for all homeless men, women, and children in the greater Boston area.
BHCHP has been able to keep vulnerable patients healthy and alive with dignified care, allowing shelters like the New Enlgand Center for Homeless Veterans, Pine Street Inn and St. Francis House to attend to their missions while BHCHP manages clinics across the city, consolidating services and saving dollars. BHCHP is a cost effective and humane alternative to emergency rooms and can be a safe discharge place for patients.
