The Sage Colleges seek an Information Specialist in Advancement Resources beginning mid-October, 2014. Responsibilities of this full-time, hourly staff position include head processor of all gifts to The Sage Colleges including annual gifts, stock transactions and matching gifts.
Qualifications: Associate's Degree with database experience; accounting skills and familiarity with accounting terminology; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel minimum requirement.
The successful candidate will be willing to attend and participate in trainings to continuously upgrade skills; have good secretarial skills; be organized, flexible, detail-oriented; and have a positive attitude, good work ethic and a team-oriented approach.
Salary dependent on qualifications and experience; generous benefits package includes tuition waiver for employee and dependents. Candidates from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.

INFORMATION SPECIALIST
ADVANCEMENT RESOURCES
Responsibilities include:
· Head processor of all gifts to The Sage Colleges including annual gifts, stock transactions and matching gifts.
· Initiate recruiting assistance processing gifts when needed.
· Maintain confidential gift and demographic records on Colleague Advancement database.
· Produce reports, correspondence, and provide secretarial support as needed.
· Initiate daily gift reports and distribute appropriately.
· Interact with business office to confirm accuracy of transactions.
· Prepare, maintain and provide supporting documentation for each transaction.
· Create and/or update Colleague Advancement records for individuals and organizations.
· Retrieve mail from service center. Run necessary errands as needed for daily work.
· Maintain appropriate hard copy and electronic files.
· Maintain report printer and order appropriate supplies.
· Create appropriate documentation for office and/or Colleague Advancement procedures.
· Work on coding projects in Colleague Advancement database.
Qualifications:
· Experience with a relational database.
· Accounting skills and familiarity with accounting terminology.
· Familiarity with Microsoft office applications, including Word and Excel.
· Willingness to attend and participate in trainings to continuously upgrade skills.
· Good secretarial skills.
· Organized, flexible, detail-oriented.
· Positive attitude, good work ethic and a team-oriented approach.
