Student housing complex located on Campus is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician.
Must have good oral communication and customer service skills,
Must have a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
Must be good with time management and have organizational skills.
Some nights/weekends required.
Emergency on call rotation required
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Basic knowledge/Skills/Experience:
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, heating and cooling, and electrical systems
• The ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instruction
• Skilled in the use of tools and equipment necessary for the job
• Must be in good physical health to perform the manual labor work tasks
• Ability to work quickly in emergencies
• Respond to work orders/maintenance repair needs
• Paint and finish work
• Carpentry
• Light Plumbing
• Light Electrical
• General maintenance of the facility and repair
• Carries out established preventative maintenance
• Assist with moving furniture within the facility
• Performs routine inspections of the facility, furnishings and equipment to identify potential safety hazards and address areas in need of maintenance or repair
• Operate carpet extractors in flooding or in the case of messes in common areas or apartments
• Maintaining emergency lights, lighting fixtures, etc.
• Tasks assigned by supervisors to be completed
