Daily Equipment Company was founded by Emmerson Daily in July 1985 through the acquisition of Puckett Machinery’s and Louisiana Machinery’s lift truck divisions.  In the beginning there were three locations, Jackson and Gulfport, MS and Bossier City, LA and 43 employees.  In 1991, opportunity again arose and Emmerson purchased Holt Lift Truck, adding locations in New Orleans and Lake Charles, LA.  The Holt acquisition doubled the size of Daily Equipment Company overnight in revenue and employees.  Through the years, the company’s foot print has remained constant but steady growth has continued.  Today the Company operates six full service locations: Jackson and Biloxi, MS, Shreveport, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge and New Orleans, LA.

Daily Equipment was founded on the guiding principles of Customer Service and Employee Satisfaction.  Input from our customers and employees guides the course of the company.  Through our ongoing Customer Satisfaction process, employees bring opportunities to enhance customer relationships to the attention of the leadership team and help map a course for completing their thoughts.  An outside firm conducts an annual Customer Satisfaction Survey to help guide the company and keep customer’s comments at the forefront of all we do.  Likewise, employees have a very open relationship with the leadership team and are encouraged to openly engage anyone to help enhance the employee experience.  Our company was built and remains an open door to customers and employees alike.

In 2012 Daily Equipment Company was acquired by the primary supplier, Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA).  What an honor for the primary supplier of the business to see such value in the organization that they want to own you!  The employees have openly embraced the opportunity to be part of such an iconic brand as MCFA, a division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

Emmerson is still coming to work every day occupying the same office he has for years.  Today he acts as an advisor for the business and works on his many philanthropic projects.  He is also considered taking his first vacation is 15 years….

Daily Equipment Company still considers its self to be a family business.  That philosophy guided the Company through 27 successful years; we’ve never laid an employee off due to economic downturns and have had 27 straight years of profitability.  Our mission remains the same – providing each and every customer we encounter with an exceptional experience and continued development of our most important resource, our employees.
