Below is the job description forwarded from our Production Manager. Our target candidate would have experience in the food industry as well as process improvement. Production Supervisor • Ensures staffing requirements are met • Identifies needs for new hires and training • Maintains daily manning • Communicates daily requirements to staff • Motivates workforce through use of coaching and disciplining when necessary • Supervises Production Leads assigned to the shift • Works directly with the staffing agency to meet the shifts needs • Trains new hires on safety requirements • Trains new hires on work instructions (batching, equipment operating, etc) • Ensures adherence to work instructions (including FIFO, scale usage, equipment settings, QA checks, dust mitigation, completion of paperwork, etc.) • Identifies and implements corrective actions for deviations to production standards • Provides written reports of accidents • Ensures timely completion of paperwork • Ensures adherence to cleaning instructions • Ensures adherence to safety instructions • Ensures GMPs are followed • Daily reviews assigned rooms for adherence to GMP’s • Reports equipment and other maintenance items to production manager and maintenance (prepares work orders as instructed) • Contributes to process improvements • Reports deviations to work instructions for follow up • Other duties as assigned
