Education & Experience: MS & 10 years of related experience or equivalent (i.e. BS & 12 years of experience)
Location: Mark Center, Alexandria, Virginia (Office of Secretary of Defense, Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation, Joint Data Support Division)
Basic Description: Senior Analyst responsible for the acquisition, evaluation, verification, and validation of authoritative United States Marine Corps (USMC) Forces, Equipment, and Operations data. His/her work will support the DoD’s Analytical Community in their development of Strategic Analysis Products, Studies, Baselines, Force Comparisons, Cross-Service analysis, and various ad hoc efforts. Applicant will require a working knowledge and experience in USMC Force Structure Analysis. Candidate will also be accountable for establishing a collaborative environment with the providers of USMC data and their subject matter experts to ensure OSD/CAPE/JDS has the most accurate USMC data available. The ideal candidate will have a vast knowledge of USMC Force Structure, be a good communicator (orally and in writing), in addition to excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills. He/She should possess ample experience in database management, database development, data verification, and integration of disparate data sets. He/She must be highly proficient in MS Office products (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access). It is essential that the candidate have practical experience and familiarity with data visualization skills and tools used to enable data analysis.
Clearance: DoD Secret Clearance is necessary, Top Secret a plus.
