Coffee Commando is honored to announce the launch of Operation Freedom Fighter - an initiative to employ 10,000 veterans over the next 12 months. Furthermore, the company will provide those veterans with the opportunity to transition into small business ownership. Coffee Commando and its principals are providing these service men and women the chance to take a position in the coffee industry and establish financial independence.
“Jobs are an important step in transition from military service, but they are not the answer,” according to Lance Cutsforth, founder of Operation Freedom Fighter and Independent Distributor of Organo Gold gourmet coffees and teas. “Jobs are a band-aid. Jobs do not provide for financial freedom or economic growth. Small business ownership is the answer.” Cutsforth continues, “We start our veterans with a job, but we allow them to earn their own independent distributorship with a product that nobody questions – coffee.”
According to most recent reports, there are well over 1,000,000 unemployed veterans, with millions more under-employed. Additionally, another 1,000,000 service members will be separating from service and entering the job market due to military draw down. According to Cutsforth, “We have a fundamental problem when military members leave service after defending The Land of Opportunity and are unable to find opportunity for themselves. Our brothers and sisters are being left behind. We simply cannot allow that. We are here to link arms with them and lead them to higher ground.” Coffee Commando is offering immediate employment to any honorably discharged veteran who meets very basic screening criteria. “We will train any veteran with desire. If you can make it through basic training, you can do this business. It doesn’t matter what your work experience is. It doesn’t matter if you suffer from an external or internal injury. We will work with you and mentor you to achieve your desired level of success. It’s easy. It’s simple. It’s coffee.”
This initiative is being spearheaded by its founder Lance Cutsforth, himself an Army veteran, his wife Kristianne, and a team of veterans and veteran supporters. Cutsforth has assembled business partners who are just as passionate about assisting veterans and their families. The Cutsforths and their team are being mentored by senior Organo Gold leaders, most notably local Orange County leaders Jeff and Lisa Giammalva – multi-million dollar earners and producers in the industry. “This is more than just a job opportunity for veterans - this is a movement to change lives,” according to Lisa Giammalva. “We are so honored to be a part of such an incredible initiative and to lend our 20 years of experience to its success.” Jeff Giammalva states, “Lance and Kristianne are amazing leaders and we are here to provide them with the support they need to accomplish this noble mission.”
According to Mike Yawn, Marine veteran and Coffee Commando team member, “Organo Gold is the perfect business that will allow active duty and veterans the ability to write their own checks. Our military is the finest trained individuals on the planet and have the skills and discipline to create a successful business to maintain a livelihood and support themselves as well as their families. If you can stare down the barrel of the enemy, you can sample and sell coffee. If you can issue commands, you can talk to people. If you understand the chain of command, you will be a leader in your own right.”
Coffee Commando’s goal is to raise awareness of Operation Freedom Fighter, reach veterans and family members, educate them about the opportunity we are providing, and assist any who want to take the journey with us. Operation Freedom Fighter is being launched in Southern California, the Pacific Northwest, and Atlanta. As the team expands and leadership emerges in other areas of the nation, the Coffee Commando team will expand its efforts in those regions.
