Field Telco Installation Technician - Extensive Travel Missouri
compensation: $25 - $45/ Hour DOE
We are currently seeking to hire a Project Manager, lead technician's, technicians. This is a challenging position that requires extensive travel throughout Missouri to install and configure state of the art proprietary equipment and software for a Fortune 500 cellular company. This is all ground level work for indoor and outdoor cell sites.
To be considered, you must have prior telco experience along with strong networking protocol and hardware setup and troubleshooting. We are a great company and treat our people like family. There is plenty room for growth and advancement, yet that is reserved for those who can prove themselves.
Required/ Skills & Qualifications
• Prior experience traveling for extended periods on work related projects. Some work will be local, but most will cover the state. Some travel is from two to three weeks in the field.
• Wireless outside plant or telco is a plus. First, second, and third carrier experience and certificates are even better. Telecommunications and network installers can still be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with direct customer service experience in a field service position
• Knowledge and experience with CAT5, CAT6, 25 pair, pre-terminated fiber installs and, punch down.
• Experience installing and maintaining network racks, cable trays, and ladders.
• Experience with LAN and WAN technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have a current and in-good standing driver's license, late model truck or van, and insurance.
• Must pass background security check and random drug testing
Must have telco tools, laptop, at&t or Verizon phone, and be ready to go to work. Specialty tools can be provided.
