Cemetery Grounds Keeper

Qualifications:  High School diploma - college degree and/or credits desireable.  3 years experience in cemetery operations, maintenance and construction.  Projects or equivalent related experience.  Workking knowledge of cemetery operations desired.  Knowledge and background in basic horticulture enviroment.  Detail oriented and self starter.  Salary Range $33,134-$57,894.  Knowledge and experience with operation and maintenance of equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, mowing equipment, tampers and related equipment and/or experience.  Knowledge and experience working with maps, including the layout and identification of cemetery block, lots and graves, or related experience. Knowlege of the operation and repair of sprinkling systems.  Must be able to work with cemetery patrons, mortuaries, vault and monument companies.  Must be able to follow to efficiently utilize general computer programs and keep records.  Must be able to follow and enforce District Policies, Rules and Regulations.  Must be able to meet the physical requirements as described in job description.  Valid drivers license and drving record acceptable to the District's insurance carrier.  Possession of any and all license(s) and/or permits required to perform the tasks required by the job before completion of the probationary period or reasonable time depending on availability for training or testing, including Qualified Applicator's license.  Closing date March 28, 2014, 4:30 p.m.
