The successful candidate will be comfortable in both the boardroom and the plant environment. This individual must be effective using a technical, consultative sales approach versus a price based, high volume/high pressure approach. They generate leads via referrals due to their reputation for a high quality product, customized solutions and top-notch client service. This opens many doors and allows their sales team to be proud of the company and to have confidence in the products they represent.

 

The ideal candidate will have had experience selling capital equipment for production lines in the consumer product industry. However, they will consider candidates with proven sales success from outside their industry and will provide industry training. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, are customer oriented, with high integrity and a mechanical aptitude, we want to talk to you!  While you should have a track record of increasing sales over a 3-4 year period, improving client share, developing sales plans, and selling in a consultative, solutions-based environment for equipment/projects that typically fall within the $100K-$200K level, my client trains all its’ sales people on its sophisticated sales process, systems and tools.

 

In this role, you will be coached by leaders with over 20 years experience in the industry who have the ability to take a lead and turn it into a viable opportunity.  As you build your book of business,  you will need to demonstrate good technical knowledge while building a partnership with the client in order to achieve success. In addition, you’ll develop strategic account plans and work an existing pipelines of clients. Finally, you’ll oversee the manufacturer rep organizations in your territory who are doing an outstanding job of identifying opportunities.

 

You will travel within a territory that includes the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic (Virginia-Maine) allowing you to be home most nights and be expected to work from the Newark, DE office when not traveling.  They offer a base salary plus commissions with no cap on incentive.
