Federal News Service is a leader in transcription of political events inside and outside the beltway.  In addition we offer media monitoring, in depth review of Homeland Security legislation and regulations on the federal and state levels, translation, and federal legislation monitoring.

Federal News is currently conducting interviews for an immediate opening in our outside sales positions in our DC office.  Candidates should have 3-5 years of sales experience in the DC area and have experience solution selling to Government, b to b, and the lobbyist marketplace.  Candidates should be proficient in CRM solutions, be self-motivated and have a proven track record of growth and successful sales.  Qualification requests include the following…

  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.  Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports..
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
