DAS RF Technician – Wireless - Field Service - California based, Multisite Cellular DAS Install
Applicant must be eligible to work in the US and able to pass state of California security clearance for immediate opening.
Job Responsibilities: DAS RF Field Service Technician:
We are looking for [Two] RF Field Service Technicians to maintain multi-site Distributed Antenna Systems [DAS]. Someone who can perform regional multi-site support and assist with the installation and testing of DAS antenna systems.
- Provide field support for multi-site DAS installs in the following areas:
- Determine the cause of equipment failure using various types of test equipment
- Receive, investigate, resolve and track trouble tickets
- Assist with resolving customer related issues and visit customer location as necessary to ensure 100% satisfaction
- Maintain network documentation with a very high level of accuracy
- Responding to all NOC call outs within a specified area and contact the appropriate field staff to resolve a system problem
- Technician may be assigned to 24-hour 'on call' duty to resolve any cell-related or customer issues
- Perform regular routine maintenance.
- Assist with the installation, integration, and testing of DAS equipment and systems at multiple DAS sites throughout the state of California:
- Be a member of the install team during:
- Equipment installation
- Base Station ring out and tuning
- Acceptance testing
- Customer Signoff & Training
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Field service experience in a wireless communications environment is a plus; such as cellular telephone, commercial two-way radio, paging or public safety communications.
- Must be skilled with use of basic hand tools and have an excellent mechanical sense.
- Basic knowledge of electronic test equipment.
- Must have basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including WORD and EXCEL.
- Candidate must be motivated, hard working and be able to adapt to changes in priorities without being adversely affected.
- Must be able to work independently or as a part of a team.
Environment:
Mostly performed in an external environment, on-site, outdoors, exposed to the elements of nature working under normal construction conditions. Some responsibilities will be performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and finger to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear. Also frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 40 pounds.
