Riverbay/Co-op City is a coopeative community of fifteen-thousand, three hundred and seventy-two apartments that are in the thirty five buildings, and seven townhuose clusters.  Three shopping centers and a nearby mall help to met the commercial needs of cooperators.  A huge education park was built to meet the educational needs of cooperators. 

Riverbay works through a community elected volunteer Board of Directors.  Riverbay Corporation is the corporate structer responsible for delivering day-to-day services which include heat, hot water, electrical distribution, air conditiong, landscaping and grounds keeping, janitoiral, maintenace, and community center rooms. 

Riverbay employs approximately 1050 employees dived as follows:

Maintenance/Janitorial/Grounds; Management; Security; clerical and Power Plant Engineers.
