Veterinary Specialty Center is one of the largest multi-disciplinary companion animal specialty hospitals in the US. With over 30 doctors that have advanced training in 12 different specialties, VSC provides comprehensive and collaborative care to the sickest of the companion animals in the Chicagoland area.
Founded in 1978 by one of the pioneers of small animal veterinary surgery, VSC has experienced continued growth and development to become a premier tertiary referral center in the midwest. Our patients and clients come from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan to receive state-of-the-art procedures from some of the regions most innovative and experienced veterinarians.
Our staff of over 160 people includes vital roles in technical assistants, administrative, clerical and financial support, animal handlers, client service coordinators and facilities management. We even have a licensed social worker on staff to coordinate grief support for our clients and training for our staff.
