Position Description
Signs + Banners, a division of Great Northern Equipment Distributing, is a distributor of products and equipment for the sign making and digital printing market.  Based in Rogers, MN Signs Plus Banners has enjoyed consistent growth over the last several years by adding new products and pursuing new customer and new markets.  The backbone of the organization continues to be customer support. 

Sign Plus Banners is seeking a new team member to fill an Outside Sales and Technical Support position!


The Outside Sales and Technical Support position will add to the success of Signs Plus Banners by:
  • Performing sales and related activities in a professional, courteous, reliable, and results-oriented manner in order to enhance the image, reputation, growth and profit of the Company. 
  • Performing installation of equipment and provide technical support for equipment sold.
Essential Functions of the position include:
  • Continually promotes Company’s reliability and service, advantages of Company products, and seeks additional selling opportunities
  • Successfully manages accounts through sales, service and technical support
  • Provides product demonstrations for current and potential customers; either at company site or at customer/prospect site.
  • Cold calls pre-selected businesses for sale of Company products
  • Customer Service- Assists all customers and potential customers in a professional, courteous, reliable, attentive, honest and responsive manner.
  • Develops sales plans and programs.
  • Provides technical support on equipment sold. 
Qualifications and Experience:
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • At least three years of previous sales or customer service experience
  • Willingness and ability to cold call clients/businesses to develop sales leads, callback schedule and customer information file.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with a wide variety of customers, Company personnel and others.
  • Valid driver’s license (MN issued or one recognized by state of MN). Ability to qualify for Company’s vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to pass DOT qualifications.
  • Must qualify for company credit card
  • Clear driving record.
  • Experience with MS Office products.
 Preferred
  • Sales experience in graphic or sign industry strongly preferred.
  • Business to Business sales experience.
