Kalstar Enterprises grew out of Kane is Able, Inc. (KANE), a family-owned third-party logistics company founded in 1930. Kalstar was started in 2004 by Kane sisters, Kathleen Calpin and Kelly Stark.

Kalstar has a strategic focus in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector. It provides logistics services that help CPG companies efficiently manufacture and distribute goods. Kalstar specializes in packaging and other value-added warehouse services that allow CPG companies to postpone final product configuration until the very last leg of the supply chain.
