Who We Are…
Vocational Development Center, (VODEC) is a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation founded in 1968. We provide vocational, residential, and day services for persons with intellectual disabilities. We provide services in Nebraska and Iowa.

The mission of VODEC is to provide services to persons with disabilities in order that those persons may live, work and participate in the community in the least restrictive environment to achieve their full potential.
Our History…
Since 1968, the Vocational Development Center, or VODEC, has provided vocational training to persons with disabilities, primarily intellectual disabilities. We began as an affiliate of the local Area Education Agency and became a private non-profit corporation in the early 1970’s. We have worked with thousands of consumers with a focus on providing the highest quality vocational, residential and day habilitation services.
