We are currently hiring Seasonal Part-time Valent Attendants for nights, weekends and holidays.
Your responsibility is to:
- Greet arriving and departing guests immediately in a hospitable, friendly and courteous manner
- Retrieve vehicle keys from guest
- Provide the guest with a claim check
- Park the vehicle safely without causing damage to the vehicle
- Complete the vehicle key ticket and existing damage survey in clear, understandable printed handwriting
- Identify exactly where you park the vehicle and mark the specific location on the vehicle key ticket so it can be easily found by another valet attendant
- Retrieve vehicles for departing guests
- Hustle to and from the valet staging area to assist other guests
- Direct traffic
- Maintain order in the valet staging area and traffic lanes
- Be available to work at least 3 times per week, mostly during the evenings
- Self-schedule by calling the Scheduling Hotline at least 3 times per week and confirming all shifts 24 hours prior to your scheduled work time
$8.40/hr in DC; $7.70/hr in MD or VA (plus Cash Tips)
To do this effectively you need:
- A good work ethic
- A positive attitude and world-class customer service skills
- A good command of the English language
- The ability to work as part of a team to accomplish a common goal
- A professional appearance and demeanor
- A valid drivers' license with a good driving record
- The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
- The ability to run, stand for long periods of time and be outdoors for several hours at a time regardless of current weather conditions
- The ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles (preferred but not required)
