We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to design and implement innovative human development programs and high-impact social enterprises, within our ethical framework, that empower the potential in under-served communities.  In service to the communities we engage, we commit to the following:

 

  • To be a force of inspiration, character development and leadership capacity building for youth.  
  • To engage youth and low-skill workers in education and workforce investment programs that build transferable 21st century skills.
  • To create sustainable employment opportunities that provide entry into the new “green economy” for low-income individuals.

 

Here's how we are accomplishing this:

  • Aya Community Markets – An innovative farmers market and holistic health experience targeting "food deserts" and “low-access” communities to provide fresh produce and gateways to community health resources that residents need to get healthy and stay healthy.
  • Workforce Investment - An accompanying component of our social enterprises that will engage youth and low- to moderate-skill individuals to develop transferable 21st century skills through innovative public-private partnerships.
  • AyaFarms, a community-centered social enterprise project that will develop and manage integrated and bio-diverse urban agricultural projects.
