Community Health and Counseling Services is a non-profit organization that was established in 1883. We offer behavioral health, crisis, home health and hospice services for children & adults through Maine communities.
One of the few combined home health and behavioral health care agencies in the United States, Community Health and Counseling Services combines mutually supportive programs and collaborative relationships with other health care providers to serve both the physical and psychological aspects of an individual’s well-being.
These services are offered in homes, schools, and the area offices of CHCS in central, eastern and northern Maine. The size of the CHCS service area in Maine covers over 22,000 square miles. That’s the combined size of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
