General Summary:Develop and manage new student support and retention-based programs for freshmen, transfer, commuter students, adult learners, and student in transitional phases of their university experience. Responsible for strategic planning, program development, budget, marketing, technical operations, and student staff development and supervision. Develop and manage budgets for programs and services. Administer programs within assigned fiscal resources. Manage appropriate collection and deposit of cash funds for ticketed events. Actively seek opportunities to raise funds in support of the program and/or department, including grants, sponsorships and individual gifts. Ensure adequate and appropriate use of electronic and web-based technology in programs, services, and marketing. General Summary Assist in the coordination and administration of the health care program of all student-athletes. GENERAL SUMMARY Maintain the living organisms in the greenhouse and other plant growth environments, including the plant growth chambers; maintain the environment systems in the facility that support the organisms. PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor and maintain a healthy environment for living organisms in the greenhouse and growth chambers by manipulating systems controlling temperature, humidity and water chemistry. Water and fertilize plants on a regular schedule. Monitor health of living plants and take appropriate steps to treat or remedy causes of ill health. Plant, purchase and maintain plants as needed to support teaching and research of faculty and students. Develop and maintain an integrated pest management program in the greenhouse and growth chambers. Maintain greenhouse and aquarium facility in attractive state consistent with teaching and research functions. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Supervision is exercised over student support staff. GENERAL SUMMARY Assist General Counsel in administering and coordinating the delivery of legal services for the University. PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Assist General Counsel in administering institutional legal affairs. Act as primary University legal contact for labor and employment issues. Review, draft, and approve University contracts and institutional policies. Provide legal counseling and assistance to various University departments in all aspects of business and higher education law. Provide legal services to University's Charter School Office. Assist General Counsel in coordinating the delivery of legal services to the University by outside legal counsel. Represent the University in judicial or quasi-judicial proceedings on the University's behalf, including labor and employment matters and other matters as assigned. Perform related departmental duties as required and/or assigned by the General Counsel. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Functional supervision is exercised over clerical and paraprofessional office support staff. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Supervision is received from the University's General Counsel. GENERAL SUMMARY Assist the Head Coach in the recruitment, counseling, conditioning, training and coaching of a varsity team. PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures. Assist in the organization and direction of all activities of a varsity sport. Counsel and advise student athletes with personal or academic problems. Coach team members individually and determine areas needing improvements. Assist in the recruitment of prospective student athletes to the University. Assist with development of contest strategy. Assigned one broad area of specific responsibility as required. Assist with summer camps and fund-raising activities. Serve as Head Coach during his/her absence. Perform related departmental duties as required. SUPERVISION EXERCISED Functional supervision is exercised over assistant coaches and administrative supervision is exercised over student support staff. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Supervision is received from the Head Coach. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in a typical outdoor and indoor athletics setting and in an office setting.
