Coordinate the planning, design and implementation of educational programs for campus and community (e.g, Barbershop, Queendom Vibes, excursions, speakers, etc...). Create and administer approvals of programming based on institutional directives to provide academic support and life skill developments for program participants. Lead, organize, and manage registration and participant selection recruiting process for prospective students. Plan orientation for new cohorts and program staff. Attend events and conferences on behalf of program and for professional development. Serve as the programs main point of contact for Housing and Residential Life to coordinate logistics pertaining to the Living and Learning Community (e.g., Early Move-In and Pre-Orientation) and for program student cohorts focusing on issues impacting their development and well-being. Work with designated Academic Advisors to review scholars' academic and registration status. Foster and maintain a strong partnership with various constituents across campus to better serve students in the program. Coordinate partnerships with academic departments to create courses suitable to student participants (e.g., AFC 101, LEAD 201). Manage all registration, logistics and fiscal responsibilities as it relates to the program. Draft and oversee communications pertaining to the program, including but not limited to press releases, reports and social media accounts. Lead various one-on one and group meetings with program students and staff, meet twice weekly with Academic Advisors and designated Success Coaches, and hold monthly meetings with leadership. Assist Director with hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of student staff and interns employed in each program. Develop and maintain policies and procedures manuals for programs administered, as well as a database of program participants Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures. Perform related department duties as required.
