Ordered and maintained inventory for a multi-million dollar parts department for a branch of a factory authorized distributorship.
I am factory trained by Allison Transmission and Detroit Diesel Corporation.
Duties included answering phone calls, and helping customers at the counter to obtain correct parts, including selling what was needed to accomplish customers' projects.
Liaison between factory and customers for back order information to monitor updated dates of delivery. Responsible for validating inventory.
Shipped fully assembled fabricated parts to customers and branches, including special tools. Worked with freight companies to expedite orders and to unsure accurate deliveries.
Maintained relationships with other branches to share inventory, to bulk order for pre-paid shipments. This saved the company the extra costs in shipping.
I was a member of the safety committee and designated representative for the Part’s Department. Knowledgeable with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and created a controlled area for accessing safety information. Worked with hazardous materials that required proper safety and usage.
I was the subject matter expert for information and training for parts department and inventory control. Additionally, I was the contact for the buyers at Metro Transit to ensure Metro received excellent customer service from Pacific Power Product.
