The National Safety Council seeks an experienced Manger, Database Marketing for their corporate office in Itasca, IL. The Manger, Database Marketing will be responsible for the management and oversight of all daily functions within the Database Marketing Team including all mailing list acquisition, segmentation and processing functions, data analytics, customer segmentation and profiling, campaign and management reporting, and market/customer research. Other duties include: • Perform data mining and statistical analysis and modeling to identify the key touch factors that influence and/or predict customer behavior, purchase patterns, contact preferences and life time value. • Manage direct marketing “test” plan which includes offer testing, creative/format testing and list segmentation testing. • Develop and execute both qualitative and quantitative market and customer research projects making recommendations that support strategic and tactical marketing decisions. • Create campaign metrics performing pre and post campaign analysis to understand expected and actual profitability. • Manage direct marketing prospecting efforts through list acquisition. Evaluate short and long term return on overall prospecting efforts as well as for specific list. • Advance the understanding of customer dynamics to more effectively manage the stream of direct marketing promotions. • Manage list selections from customer database to target and maximize campaign profitability understanding overall business strategy as well as campaign specific marketing objectives. • Manage and maintain the marketing customer database and all modeling activities to increase customer acquisitions and retention efficiencies. Leverage database to develop clear and actionable insights into new and existing customer behavior. Translate those insights into new marketing opportunities. • Lead the development of effective CRM programs to achieve maximum customer lifetime value. Support and implement any necessary infrastructure development efforts. • Research and develop market data reports detailing market penetration data per industry. Report on industry trends to identify opportunities for future incremental growth and new business/product opportunities. • Serve as a resource to conduct business analysis and develop appropriate reports providing corporate management with a resource for assessing business opportunities that complement corporate core competencies.
