Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial environments.
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems including chillers, rooftop units, split systems, and package units
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial equipment for hotels, hospitals, restaurants, and office buildings
- Install new HVAC equipment and ensure proper startup and commissioning
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging per EPA regulations
- Identify and communicate needed repairs to customers clearly and honestly
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Respond to emergency service calls as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on HVAC experience (commercial experience preferred)
- EPA 608 Universal Certification required
- Strong knowledge of refrigerant systems, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical components
- Experience with chillers, cooling towers, and rooftop units is a plus
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work in attics, rooftops, and confined spaces
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme heat conditions
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- NATE certification
- Experience with Carrier, Trane, or Lennox commercial equipment
- Louisiana Mechanical Journeyman or Master license
- Experience working in hospitality or healthcare facilities
