IEI

IEI is a specialty general contractor and construction management firm.  Started and led by native Memphian, JP Stephens, IEI has been a stalwart in the mid-south community since its inception in 2008. We concentrate on plant and industrial safety and responsibility. IEI also has two subsidiaries under the flagship, IMC and Teir One Services.  IMC provides mechanical services throughout the mid-south and Tier One Services provides certified inspection services for all industrial applications.

INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION

IEI specializes in large industrial construction leaning heavily into pipe fabrication and installation at large industrial facilities.  We have highly trained and experienced welders, fitters and millwrights and currently currently performing a significant pipe installation at Big River Steel in Oceola, Arkansas and Nucor Steel in Blytheville, AR.

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE

Further, after the capital work is completed, IEI has a proven track record of installing and maintaining a “nested” professional millwrights, fitters, welders, and other trained professionals to perform maintenance and additional capital work.  along with all external maintenance services consisting of paving/striping, painting, coatings, roof and all areas of external and internal maintenance. Currently, IEI has a large presence at Valero, Unilever, Upfield, Helm Fertilizer, International Flavors and Fragrances, Richardson, Biochemical, Tetra, and others.  

IEI provides “nested skilled employees” to factories to allow companies to focus on what they do best.  We provide comprehensive, integrated facility maintenance services, including piping, welding, millwrights, along with all external maintenance services consisting of paving/striping, painting, coatings, roof and all areas of external and internal maintenance.

CIVIL CONSTRUTION

IEI’s civil division which provides a full litany of services for longtime customers Kroger and Love’s.   We have the resources and personnel to provide dirt work, concrete and asphalt paving services along with other traditional civil services. Further, as part of that department, we install roofs, flooring, and walls.

COATINGS

IEI maintains for its customers a high-end paint shop and abundant facility to handle even the largest projects requiring specialty coatings and painting.  We have a history of handling large jobs such as Valero and Helm providing on-site coating for large industrial tanks. 

INSPECTIONS

Tier One Services provides a full complement of exceptional inspectors certified in multiple disciplines.  Our company concentrates on Code, plant and industrial responsibility. All work performed by trained personnel and all inspections by certified inspectors.  Trained in accordance with industry standards and inspectors certified by either API, AWS, ASNT, STI, or NACE.  IEI is also ISO9001 compliant and in the process of becoming ISO9001 certified.

SAFETY AND CERTIFICATIONS

IEI focuses on plant and industrial safety, having been given the Tennessee Governor’s Award for the past four years for our achievements in both safety and quality. IEI earned and possesses the “U,” “R,” and “S” stamps, placing us in the top of our industry for both safety and quality. Further, we partner with TVTC to keep our employees’ safety requirements current with expert training, approaching all our jobs with a safety-driven mindset.
