The Law Office of Jamal Jbara Attorney at Law, P.C. is a law firm located in Long Island City, NY focusing on a variety of aspects of immigration law practices. We are a top-rated and rapidly expanding law firm and are interested in a candidate who is dedicated, reliable, and looking to grow within the practice. Our firm currently has 1-2 opening(s) for paralegal/legal assistants

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct client scheduling and intakes
• Draft immigration forms and prepare evidence submission packages.
• Communicating with clients, completing USCIS applications including Asylum, Work Authorization, Adjustment of Status, Cancellation of Removal, processing SIJS, preparing Waiver Applications, processing various immigration applications, including I-601, I-601As, I-589, E-42B, and filings with the immigration court, Exhibit and Witness Lists, Motions to Reopen, Briefs in Support of applications,  and writing Affidavits, etc.
•  Provide clients with case status updates   
• Translations

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Spanish
• Must have a minimum of 2 years prior experience working in an immigration law firm
• Please provide a writing sample with your  resume

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (Friday is a half day) some Saturdays (half day)
