Highmark Stadium is the home of the USL Champions League Pittsburgh Riverhounds.  The Riverhounds are one of the leagues original teams, created in 1999.  Highmark Stadium was built in 2013 and is located in Pittsburgh's Historic business district at Station Square as the permanent home of the club.

Highmark Stadium is not only the home of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds but also men and women soccer teams of Carlow and Point Park University. In 2022 women's Pitt Lacrosse made their home at Highmark Stadium.  On top of hosting these teams the stadium has numerous concerts, festivals and fundraisers each year.
