Live In Place has been making homes accessible to Northern Virginia residents for over 15 years. Our team takes pride in improving the quality of life for hundreds of families each year and we’re growing! 

We’re seeking full time and part time staff to start as soon as possible.

TIME COMMITMENTS

Full Time: Guaranteed 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 5:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch). Possibility of overtime when workload allows. Overtime begins after 40 hours of regular pay per week at 1.5 x pay. 

Part Time: Guaranteed 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 2:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch). Possibly additional hours when workload allows.

Holidays (when falling on a weekday:

Your birthday = Paid time off  or  1.5 x pay

Christmas & Thanksgiving = Paid time off

*New Years Eve, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day = 1.5 x pay

*many clients are available for home modifications on government holidays

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years construction experience
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Proficient with tablets and basic apps
• Polite verbal communication skills
• A saint-like amount of patience for the elderly community

*Certified Aging in Place Specialists or those who have previous work experience with seniors preferred. Veterans strongly encouraged to apply.

DUTIES

• Shadowing light duty installs like: grips, grab bars, risers, thresholds, etc. 
• Assistance with building handrails
• Inventory tracking
• Preparing work order forms
• Assistance with organization of shop
• Contracts and basic client forms

PAYMENT STRUCTURE

W2 positions starting at $18 per hour with the opportunity for growth and potential bonuses.

BENEFITS

Full Time: To be discussed - beginning after 60 days of employment.

Part Time: Benefits not included.
