Southwest Carpenters Stars and Stripes Program

The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters are an affiliate of the UBC and cover a 6-state region that includes Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California. Our team, under the UBC’s direction, has created a pre-apprenticeship program for service members transitioning back into the civilian workforce, Reservists/Guardsmen and women, and veterans who are seeking a career. Our Career Connections: Stars and Stripes program is 8 weeks long and takes place during the last few months of the members service, while in reserve, or after they have exited the service. Participants follow a hands-on approach curriculum and learn the basics of our trade at a dedicated facility in Camarillo, California. The next course will begin on January 10th and seating is limited.  The training facility address is 412 Dawson Drive, Camarillo CA 93012. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be provided with all the tools to go to work, and placed on a jobsite with one of our signatory contractors as a 2nd stage apprentice in the area where you live or are transitioning to (throughout the US).
