Los Robles Healthcare was founded in 2000 by an RN, Joan Plassmeyer, who believed that if you take a small group of compassionate and committed people, you can make a difference in the community. Joan’s initial agency, a home health focused agency, was started in the city of Thousand Oaks, and eventually grew to cover all of Ventura County, as well as the northern half of Los Angeles County.

While Joan’s efforts were blossoming in Ventura County and beyond, professionals such as Mehreen Shah, who had started Paramount Home Health Care and Hospice to serve both San Diego and Riverside counties, were forging ahead with a similar mindset.

This period also coincided with Cody Campbell and Steve Burningham launching their own home health and hospice efforts in Northern California under the Impact Healthcare umbrella. Once Cody and Steve were able to establish a foothold with their Northern California efforts, they started in on their search to make inroads in Southern California.

After scouring the Southern California region for a flagship agency to build a united brand around, Cody and Steve contacted Joan, and from there the three together embarked on a mission to cover all of Southern California to serve the needs of all the populated regions of the lower half of the state. Mehreen soon joined forces, and the Los Robles Healthcare name continued to grow.

With Mike Connelly serving as Los Robles Healthcare Managing Partner, and Steve Contegiacomo serving as Los Robles Healthcare COO, the piecing together of the Southern California region continues, with more and more clinicians joining Los Robles Healthcare to serve communities in the following five counties: Los Angeles County; Orange County; Riverside County; San Diego County; and Ventura County.

In 2020, Los Robles Healthcare launched a new caregiving service to help clients with personal care and activities of daily living. Under the leadership of veteran home care expert Trevor O’Neil, Los Robles Caregivers will soon serve all of Southern California.

The mission to provide clinical services that meet the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of their patients and their patients’ families continues to this day. Los Robles Healthcare looks forward to growing its interdisciplinary team as it continues to deliver thorough and compassionate care to all of Southern California.
