Oahu Transit Services, Inc.(OTS) is an exciting place to establish a successful career. TheBus has provided fixed route transit service since 1971 and TheHandi-Van has provided paratransit service since 1997 for Oahu’s disabled population who are not otherwise able to use TheBus service. Over the years, transit operations have evolved with new technology, changes in laws, as well as our forever changing environment. OTS employs 1,300 TheBus and TheHandi-Van Operators and 700 critical support employees in the areas of maintenance, central control, dispatch, scheduling, planning, training, safety, information technology, human resources, finance and management.

Our fleet consists of 540 transit buses and 190 paratransit vans. On an annual basis, TheBus carries about 63 million trips and TheHandi-Van carries about 1.2 million trips. TheBus has the 5th highest per-capita transit ridership in the country, exceeded only by larger cities such as New York, Boston, San Francisco and Washington DC.
