FULL TIME

MUST HAVE FAST PACED COURIER EXPERIENCE. This is an all-day-long, constantly moving, in and out of the van, up apartment stairs. Drive brand new van, gas provided, uniforms provided. Must be able to hustle, lift, and deliver packages under 50 lbs. each.

Use a smartphone to follow stop-by-stop route directions. Drive safely and efficiently and deliver packages shipped from Amazon, working for Deegan Express. Must treat customers, co-workers, and packages with respect. FT or PT 8 hour workday: 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM or 10 hour workday 9:15 AM TO 8:00 PM ( for part-time, no half-days are available), for FT 1/2 paid health after 90 days. Must be 21 or over. Valid CA license

Your day starts near Hawthorne Blvd and El Segundo Blvd at 12 pm (noon). You pick up your van and head to the Amazon warehouse to get your delivery device and your totes of presorted packages. After properly scanning all your totes and larger boxes you load them into your van in a systematic order that makes delivering efficient. Typically your delivery area will be in Hawthworne and surrounding areas. You follow the driving directions and route orders provided for you by your device. You will drive safely and respectfully and deliver at a pace according to route expectations depending on type of route.

You will work under the direction of a dispatcher and Amazon on-road support and customer service. When you are done with your deliveries you will often be required to go assist fellow teammates that need rescue assistance on that day. When cleared to come back you stop on the way to gas up your van, check out with Amazon first, then with our dispatch. Lastly, you return the van to our nearby offsite parking lot where you started and punch out.

Pay: $15.25 - $17.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We sanitize the vans every other day beyond requirements, we provide gloves, masks and sanitizer and bleach solution spray bottles. we follow STRICT social distancing rules at the station. Delivering alone in your van and no-customer contact all day long
