Facilities Maintenance Technician  

Full-time, year-round position on a private estate in The Plains, VA. Position includes housing, comprehensive benefits package and pleasant work environment.

Job Description/Duties

Able to inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair various systems and infrastructure including:

• Heating and Cooling,
• Pools and Fountains,
• Domestic Water Systems
• Irrigation systems
• Electrical Generators
• Electrical and Plumbing Systems

Responding to emergencies during work and non-working hours

Assist other departments when requested

Assist in snow removal

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Must possess strong skill sets and knowledge of electrical and plumbing components and systems.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Must be able to take direction well with attention to detail
• Ability to work well independently or as a team.
• Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment vaults, crawling, and working outdoors in all types of weather.

Primary Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 4 plus years prior exp. in plumbing, electrical, HV/AC or related experience
• HVAC certification highly preferred
• Experience in Facility Maintenance preferred
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Must be available for on-call work
• Must have valid driver’s license w/clean record issued in the United States
• Must be able to legally obtain work in the US
• Must be able to pass background check
