Tri-Cast, LTD is a small specialty iron foundry located south of Akron. We specialize in manual, low-volume, Air-set and Green Sand applications. The facility was originally built in 1948, but current ownership purchased the facility in 2000. In the last ten years, they have continuously reinvested in the facility, and have replaced almost 90% of the original equipment.

Tri-Cast is able to cast all grades of iron including Grey, Ductile, Ni-Hard, and Ni-Resist. We use Sorelmetal ( a purer form of iron) as our base melt component rather than blast furnace pigs or steel scrap (Sorelmetal is derived from the production of titanium oxide). Tri-Cast can do squeezer-style green sand applications up to 3,000 pounds, as well as Air-set applications as large as 3,500 pounds.
