Freedom Logistics Inc is hiring motivated Delivery Drivers (Delivery Associates) for residential & commercial delivery in the Goodyear area. The Delivery Associate is a highly valued position as they will be responsible for making Amazon package deliveries to homes, apartments, and businesses in a company-provided vehicle. Each Delivery Driver (DA) is a direct representative of not only our Company but of Amazon, as well.

This job is for motivated individuals with a great attitude. As a Delivery Associate, it will be necessary to think on your feet to make successful deliveries while maintaining focus and providing great customer service. If this sounds like you, then we’d love to have you join our team!

  • May include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidaysWe operate 7 days a week, 361 days a year

Qualifications and Skills

  • Represent the team with a positive and service-oriented attitude
  • Effective communication
  • Delivery driving experience such as Lyft, Fed Ex, UPS, etc. is a PLUS
  • Maintain equipment with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
  • History of excellent attendance
  • Highly adaptable in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to problem solve and meet targets
  • Knowledge of Goodyear and surrounding area preferred

What to expect on a typical day:

  • Arrive at distribution facility by the required time to receive your van assignment
  • On-call drivers will need to be available with little notice
  • Attend the morning stand-up meeting to discuss areas of focus
  • Receive route assignment, keys, tools, and delivery smartphone / GPS device
  • Device loaded with the pre-determined route and delivery estimates for each delivery
  • Perform a pre-trip vehicle inspection thoroughly checking the van for damage
  • Deliver up to 250+ packages at a quick even pace
  • Be on your feet up to 9 -12 hours per day
  • Climb in and out of a van for each delivery
  • Follow all delivery instructions
  • Help fellow team members as needed
  • Return van to station after refueling
  • Remove all trash & debris from van
  • Return Smartphone/GPS scanner device, tools, and keys
  • Perform post trip inspection noting any required maintenance items

Requirements

  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background
  • Must pass Drug Screening
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid AZ driver’s license
  • Ability to handle the walking, lifting, bending, stair climbing, and stooping required to perform the job
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Tech savvy and able to operate a Smartphone/GPS device with scanner and team applications
  • Must observe traffic laws and company safety procedures at all times
  • Be able to work 9 - 10 hours per shift
  • Must be authorized to work in United States
  • Capable of walking 6-8 miles a day
