For more than 50 years, Nielsen has measured what people watch on television, listen to on
the radio and buy in stores and online. We are a professional research company and the world’s leading provider of media and marketing information, including the Nielsen TV Ratings.

Nielsen determines top Radio and TV programs each week as well as how many people tuned into
specific programs, like sporting events. These insights come from Nielsen Families across
the United States.
