Requirements: -3 years or more in the trade (w/ reference), ASE Certified & Diagnostic experience is a plus-Must have tools -Must have diesel truck experience -Carrier & Thermo king experience is a plus.-Ability to use computerized equipment for vehicles-Must be able to test drive trucks before and after repairs, - valid driver’s license is required.-Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems-Must be able to complete employment application and must be able to pass a drug test
Responsibilities:-Perform minor component repair and all aspects of preventative maintenance, refrigerated and non-powered truck and trailer equipment in the industry.-Inspect, diagnose and repair brake systems, engines, electrical components, cooling systems, steering systems, transmissions and tires.-perform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems. -Repair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn-out parts and change hydraulic fluids. -Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required including but not limited to - hydraulic jacks, pneumatic wrenches and precision gauges. Experience with lathes, welding torches, and machine shop equipment is a plus.-Willingness to travel within district (close geographical area), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required-Promotes safe work habits & follows safety policy-Must have a positive attitude and willingness to grow in position along with strong work ethics and commitment to work the hours necessary to accomplish the job duties-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
