GEOTECHNICAL SPECIALIST IN ALLENTOWN, PA WITH ADVANTAGE ENGINEERS Do you like working outdoors? Are you interested in the Construction and Environmental field? If so, we have an entry level, full-time position for you with competitive benefits! All you need is a High School Diploma to be eligible. What the Responsibilities Are: Advantage Engineers (Advantage) has an excellent career opportunity for someone who is interested in the construction and environmental field. This position will observe the contractor's progress in the production of each portion of the work as described in the plans and specifications and prepare a daily report for the work on the forms provided for the project, including: the nature and quality of the work as detailed in the plans and specifications, the amount of work produced, and the location of the work produced as it relates to the plans. This role will conduct density testing of engineered fill, and review foundation and building pad subgrade, backfilling for utilities, and retaining wall installation . The Specialist will also gather information/data as requested in the preparation of proposals, expressions of interest, and contracts and be involved with highway and roadway improvements. Strong customer service , written and oral communication skills , and problem-solving skills are required. Knowledge of basic mathematical calculations and Microsoft Office is also essential. This job will be filled as an entry level position. Requires a minimum of a High School diploma. Must be able and comfortable to work outdoors, in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Must be able to work in a geotechnical lab setting, performing required materials testing.
