Palmetto Conservation Foundation

Palmetto Conservation Foundation is a statewide nonprofit organization that started in 1989. Its mission is to  conserve South Carolina’s natural and cultural resources, preserve historic landmarks, and promote active outdoor recreation on the Palmetto Trail and other greenways. Palmetto Conservation Foundation serves its communities by conserving the natural environment while making it accessible, providing an impressive recreational resource—the Palmetto Trail—while giving the public free access regardless of age, ability, or socioeconomic circumstance, helping South Carolina communities grow and prosper while maintaining local character, preserving historic landmarks, and improving quality of life and teaching conservation and preservation while helping people learn and practice outdoor skills.
