We are looking to bring on a PMO Analyst to join a collaborative and small team environment supporting the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
The PMO Analyst will provide support to the Technical liaison in facilitating business and technical operational needs for stakeholders within and outside Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). In this role you will prepare and provide technical artifacts and support the Technical PM with the integrated business and technical Work Breakdown Structure and Schedule , and other project management artifacts and activities. The analyst will also be instrumental in the assessment, management, tracking, reporting, and streamlining the Agile fielding of DEA and DOJ information technology systems and services for business and technical stakeholders. Additionally, the Analyst will work with the Government PM to refine, scope, and coordinate with DEA stakeholders for project information.
On a day to day basis you will:
Develop, analyze, maintain and conduct business analysis, business needs assessments and documentation for development, enhancements, and custom development services as prioritized by the DEA's management and provided to project delivery teams via a Project Analysis Worksheet (PAW).
Prepare the business analysis and needs assessments in the form of Epics and User Stories, Course of Action (COA), Initial PAW Review Document (IPRD), System Information Package (SIP), workflow diagrams, surveys, tables, charts, spreadsheets or the most appropriate documentation format required to demonstrate and satisfy the high level business requirements.
Work with PMO stakeholders to document context and scope; assist in the identification of the non-functional needs such as project/service criticality, approach, risks and constraints; personnel and infrastructure resource requirements;
Assess business process impact and dependencies; system performance and availability.
Provide support to Government PM’s and/or System Owners to complete an Initial Privacy Assessment (IPA), Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), or any other documentation required to satisfy Cybersecurity Privacy compliance requirements needed to obtain proper approvals to implement an IT solution.
Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Physical Science, or other technology).
Must have a minimum of Secret Clearance
4+ years relevant IT Portfolio Management experience to include:
Strong understanding or experience with IT Governance/Oversight (FISMA, FITARA, CPIC, OMB 300 and 53, etc.), Project Planning and Management concepts (Functional Analysis, SDLC, Agile, PMBOK, Requirements Traceability Matrix, etc.), and Project Tools (MS Visio, MS Project, SharePoint, etc.).
Privacy and Compliance experience (knowledgeable of the Privacy Act of 1974, the E- Government Act of 2002, and the OMB Circular A-130 Appendix I and II)
Experience analyzing management, business and technical issues related to program management and information systems
Experience providing guidance to the business implications of various systems
Feasibility studies and systems planning experience
Experience assisting in formulating systems scope and objectives
Experience devising and/or modifying procedures for managing complex programs
