The System Administrator will support the Virtual Server Support Contract in Hines, IL Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing and managing the enterprise storage environment and performing production support activities for assigned storage systems to ensure the integrity and availability of the environment.  The Storage (SAN/NAS) System Administrator will work with the Enterprise Storage team with a focus on support on the enterprise SAN and NAS storage infrastructure: EMC NX4, NS480, and VNX5200/5500 devices, along with NetApp FAS2520, FAS8060, and E5400 systems. Within the EMC environment, will utilize management tools including EMC Unisphere, Navisphere, and FolderSizes. Will have knowledge in SSH tools that assist in administering the EMC and NetApp environments. To support the NetApp storage systems, OnCommand and SANTricity management consoles are utilized.  Working knowledge of enterprise backup software such as Commvault.  Perform all System Administration tasks including, but not be limited to, supporting file sharing across the environment and the integration of enterprise storage with the Microsoft Windows, Citrix, and VMWare virtual server environment. Install, upgrade, repair, maintain, and retire production and test environments in order to meet business demands and provide for future enhancements. Configure, implement, deploy, and support technologies including converged technology, NAS and SAN environments, fibre channel switched fabric, and associated physical and virtual servers. The System Administrator will p rovide efficient and reliable storage allocation and defines backup, recovery, archival procedures.  Develops and implements business continuity practices for storage management. Installs, configures, tests and implements storage management software and hardware. Monitors use and availability of storage resources. Maintains and modifies backup and recovery procedures to meet high availability and mission critical business needs. Troubleshoots storage related issues and takes appropriate actions. Generates reports and analysis on storage usage. Maintains storage configurations to provide capacity planning and performance monitoring/tuning of systems. Benchmarks, evaluates and makes recommendations for the selection of storage management software and hardware products.   Required Skills: 4+ years System Administrator level experience with industry standard SAN and NAS based solutions, example – EMC NX4, NS480, and VNX5200/5500 devices, along with NetApp FAS2520, FAS8060, and E5400 systems.   4 + years of SAN fabric and storage infrastructure experience are preferable. Examples – (fibre channel zone configuration, file and block-level storage provisioning) Hands-on experience with management and monitoring tools tools such as EMC Unisphere/Navisphere, Secure Shell, NetApp SANTricity, OnCommand, and FolderSizes Experience in storage administration using NetApp OnCommand and E-Series systems.
