A local fabrication/ machine shop business is currently seeking a welder with experience in a job shop environment. The candidate should have experience performing MIG and TIG welding as well as sheet metal work. The ideal candidate should have experience in assembly and fabrication of unique and challenging components, as well as knowledge of fixtures, rework and parts as requested. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication. The candidate must be familiar with fabrication shop tools and equipment such as band saws, drill press, iron worker and press breaks, as well as other shop equipment.

• Experienced fabricator / welder.
• Skills should include weld structural, plate and sheet metal.
• At least 6 years job shop experience including fabrication and installation.
• Must have own basic tools.
• Be able to weld & fabricate large and small parts per drawings and assemble.
• Layout material as per print, welding of material.
• Knowledge of fabrication equipment. Ex: Press Brake, plate roller, iron worker, band saw etc.
• Perform inspections to insure specifications and proper welding technique.
• Able to TIG, and MIG weld in all positions.
• Familiar with running a forklift, hoist and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment to perform duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualification:

• High School Diploma preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience fabricating and welding in a job shop environment.
• Must be able to stand for extended lengths of time.
• Must be able to bend and squat on a regular basis.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
