Job Description:
A Retail Sales Associate - Pawn Broker is responsible for all sales activities and greeting customers, answering questions, helping customers/peers, and providing product information. Must demonstrate outstanding customer service and sales skills. Responsible for cleaning, stocking, displaying, and storage of store merchandise. Flexible with work schedule and being part of a team. Must be able to process payments. Always maintains courteous, professional behavior and attitude. Reports directly to store manager.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management
- Knowledge of mathematics; addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Telephone etiquette
- Experience with office equipment (calculator, computer, fax, scanner) and computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task, while remaining focused on customer service.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time efficiently
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work 9am to 7pm Monday through Saturday (as directed by manager)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
- This position involves constant standing, moving, talking, listening, reaching, and grabbing. Including bending, kneeling, crouching and climbing steps
