True North Energy was founded in 1999, through a 50/50 partnership between The Lyden Family (established in 1919) and Shell Oil US.  The Lyden Family has been in business for 99 years with the third and fourth generations presently at the helm …… and the fifth generation… we’ll see?!

True North Energy retails fuel and convenience items through its truenorth branded stores (now totaling 112), in addition to providing fuel to its approximate 200 dealers.
