Career Summary
* Responsible for safely transporting general freight through-out the interstate of the Continental USA operating semi-tractor trailer units. Operates trucks with a gross capacity of 80,000 pounds gross vehicle weight.
Primary Responsiblities
* On-time delivery of freight to clients, within intercity routes or spanning throught-out several states.
* Maintain and document signed bills of laden record amount, time, personnel whom freight is being delivered.
* Accept and maintain constant communication with home terminal operations / dispatch through On-Board Recording Device.
* Operate within DOT/FMCSA time allotment of the mandated 70 hour work week, 14 hour work day, 11 hour work driving time.
* Manage / record fuel stops to provide effiecient means of operating unit.
* Report any and all accidents, incidents, delays in delivery, maintence issues to Dispatch-Operations and Safety Department immediatly.
* Perform daily Pre-Trip / Post Trip inspections recorded per witten and EORD.
* Keep unit in a presentible fashion, clean and in good working order.
* Plan or request effiecient routes for delivery with usage of GPS, and satelite tracking.
* Haz-Mat operators - required annual training and skills assessment.
* Perform all actions Safely within the scope of employment.
* Annual MVR reports.
* Annual, Semi-Annual, Quarterly D&A testing
* Maintain constent professional apperance, demeanor, and apptitude for Growth.
Qualifications
* Must be 23 years or older minimum (2 years of verfiable OTR experience)
* Military veterans with experience with Heavy equipment transportion. (Excemption)
* Must possess Class A CDL (Haz-Mat preferred but optional)
* Clean MVR (No DWI within last 10 years)
* No more than 2 moving violations within the last 2 years involved in a CMV
* Solid Work History past 10 years
* Must be able to pass TSA required background check
* Must be able to produce Local, State, Federal background
* Must be able to pass D&A test
