Counter Staff Personal - Cuetopia Billiards (san jose west) Compensation Range: $13.50 - $15.50/Hour (skill level), plus tips Cuetopia Billiard Café is seeking counter staff with the responsibility of ensuring our guests have a pleasurable recreation and night out experience, while maintaining all corporate guidelines and quality business assignments. We are an owner-operated establishment with thirteen years presence in San Jose's Almaden Valley, with a great reputation and loyal customers. We are a destination for people of all ages who wish to play pool, world class foosball, arcade games, drink beer, wine and soft drinks with an assortment of easy to prepare food items. Customer Experience Requirements: -Must be 18 years or older - Providing friendly, quality customer service to each Cuetopia customer - Cleaning equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion according to guidelines. - Have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant employees and work as part of a team by helping others as needed or requested - Have the ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees, and owners. - Have the ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times and display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments - Be able to exhibit a cheerful and helpful attitude, and provide exceptional customer service - Be able to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency - Have the ability to demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu - Have the ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the kitchen and pool side - Have a high school diploma or equivalent -Have an ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including holidays and weekends. We are open daily until 2 AM -A California food handler's card will be required according to local and or state regulations. -Post charges to tables -Answers phones and takes party reservations -Be willing to trade shifts with other employees for desired time off -Responsible for Communication Log for all customer and fellow employee related requests - Must be able to handle a basic computer, POS system; handling cash and credit cards - Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements - Must be able to stand for long periods of time, occasionally lift heavy boxes, and beer kegs up to 50 lbs, move quickly and have a sense of urgency Compensation Range: $13.50-$15.50hourly plus tips, plus annual increases, off clock pool discounts, on the clock food and non alcohol beverage discount.
