Believe in Yourself/Be Your Own Boss
Work for me for a season (9 months)
and get paid to learn a trade and start a business.
My name is Matthew Haugh, and I have a small window and house-washing business in the Madison, Wisconsin area. I have been in business for 13 years, and every year gets better. The only thing I regret about the business is that I wish I had started it earlier in life. That’s where you come in. I want to give back to my community/country by teaching one or two veterans a year how to start up their very own small window cleaning business. So you can be your own boss and in charge of your own life.
I am choosing veterans to help for a few reasons. One is that I really admire veterans (my dad is a Vietnam Vet, Captain in the USMC ’65-’68), and I feel that you men and women deserve a helping hand more than most. If you can complete military service, then starting up a window cleaning business will be a cinch. (The typical window cleaning business owner makes $60 to $100 an hour.) Also veterans are not afraid of hard work, and since window washing is the easiest manual labor job I can think of, it will be fun for you.
I know you will have some or a lot of questions, so you can always email me at
matthaugh92@hotmail.com or call me at 608/848-1042, and I will answer them.
Here are some of the basics on how it works.
-Work/learn season is March 1
st to December 1
st -I am asking you to pay a $3,000 deposit. This shows me you are serious about this opportunity. You get the $3,000 back at the end of the season. I do this because it would screw me and someone else who would have taken the spot if you leave during the season. And with that $3,000, at the end of the season, we buy almost all the equipment you will need to start a business.
-Not only am I sharing my knowledge of the window cleaning business with you, I will also pay you an hourly rate of $12.50 to start. And after three months, a $1.00 per hour increase (people also give tips).
-You will need to find a place to stay. I will help you find something.
-I supply all work equipment, work shirts, and work knowledge. All you need to do is show up on time, be positive, coachable, and make some money while learning a trade/business.
These are again just some of the basics. Call or email me and we can talk.
