The government anticipates the strategic planning year and battle rhythm schedule will be determined based on a calendar year and (4) four ACBs will be held quarterly, twelve (12) monthly reports and weekly milestones shall be reported in briefings at standardized leadership meetings as requested by the government. Consolidate AFCEC inputs for such reports as the Monthly Activity Reports (MARs), Weekly Activity Reports (WARs), and AFCEC and Directorate level accountability reports, when required, providing mission support additional reporting capabilities may be required in similar activities. Deliver a minimum of 12 MARs, 50 WARs consolidated and approximately 60 other consolidated reports annually. Qualifications MA/MS degree preferred. Background The Division of Batch Operations Production Control (DBOPC) is responsible for SSA client server automated scheduling infrastructure and its administration. Additionally, DBOPC supports the systems involved in the processing of Social Security cards. The configuration of the automated scheduling environment consists of CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager (EM) Distributed Tool Suite running on a virtual Linux platform. DBOPC processes batch workloads for SSA enterprise-wide mission-critical applications. Batch processing must be completed on time and with accuracy. Responsibilities OBXtek is currently staffing for a Senior Subject Matter Expert to support SSA's DOSDO division with Integrated Data Management System (IDMS). Background SSA's Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) architecture comprise the nationwide online database for millions of users, including all SSA users and the public, and processes over 60 million transactions per day. These environments consist of over 50 IDMS Central Versions (CVs). Scope of Task The objective of this task is to provide IDMS systems programming support for SSA integration, training, acceptance, and production life cycles. The infrastructure that must be maintained includes: the installation and maintenance of software packages such as CA-Unicenter, Omegamon and QMF; over 50 IDMS CVs across four life cycle environments, the installation and maintenance of over 10 vendor software packages In support of the task, the contractor shall perform activities such as those described in the sub-tasks below. Sub-Task 1 : IDMS Software Development and Maintenance Purpose: Maintain, test, document, and deploy IDMS system level software features and changes. Activities: The following activities shall be performed in accordance with SSA standards, which will be provided by SSA, for building IDMS CVs and adhering to life cycle and change control procedures: Analyze requirements. Develop detailed procedure documents for installation, maintenance and testing. Install, test, and maintain IDMS system software. Meet with fellow SSA management and staffs to develop requirements. Update appropriate IDMS configuration documentation to reflect changes to the architecture. Communicate and work with application developers and software testers to ensure all IDMS resources are identified and defined appropriately. Deliverables: OESAE will develop the proposed schedule for creation of new CVs and subsystems; which shall be coordinated with the appropriate SSA management and staffs. The contractor shall submit status reports to the Task Manager via email on a weekly basis. Drafts of documentation shall be submitted to the appropriate SSA management and staffs via email usually within 2 -3 days of completion. The contractor shall advise the SSA Task Manager of all requests for changes using CAPRS within 1 day of receipt of request. Sub-Task 3 : Problem Management and Production Support Purpose: Problem resolution. Activities: Customize commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) monitoring software to monitor the IDMS production environment for problems. Inform SSA Management and Staffs of problems and subsequent resolutions. All problems/ system issues are expected to be worked on until the problem is resolved, even if it requires staying extended periods of time or outside normal business hours. Deliverables: The contractor shall submit documentation of any external customization of COTS monitoring software to the Task Manager via email usually within 2 -3 days of completion. Customization configuration will be determined by the Managers and staffs; software will be provided by SSA. Using CAPRS, document problem resolutions including full root cause within 2 working days of problem resolution. Sub-Task 4 : Software Installation and Maintenance Purpose: Install and maintain IDMS software and third party vendor products. Activities: Install IDMS software and third party vendor software using System Modification Product/Extended (SMP/E) across SSA System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Maintain IDMS system software and third party vendor software using SMP/E across SSA SDLC. Update configuration documentation reflecting new software versions.
