Cordova, Alaska

We are looking for an Office Manager to manage the office at our Cordova, Alaska facility. You will be responsible managing all the office functions and staff. You will work closely with the production manager analyzing production reports. This position requires a self-starter with supervisory skills and excellent knowledge of production accounting and recovery computation.

You will spend five months May into September in Cordova, Alaska. After the season, we will fly you back to Seattle to work approximate 7 months at the Corporate Office in Seattle, WA. 

Job Duties:
 Insure all daily production, labor, and financial reporting tasks are accomplished

 Insure timely and accurate payments to all vendors, fishermen, and employees

 Recruit, train, and supervise office staff

 Prepares bi-weekly payrolls in off season

 Reviews and analyzes production information and makes suggestions to Plant Manager

 Assists Plant Manager with the establishment and analysis of financial and production budgets and projections

 Coordinates regulatory reporting with ADF&G, NMFS, and other governmental agencies

 Maintains, reconciles, and closes general ledger monthly and transmits information to Seattle office

 Manages fleet receivable accounts and interacts with fishermen

 Organizes employee travel pre/post season with corporate travel agency and organizes employee travel data into a database

Requirements:
• Must be willing and able to work long hours on a routine basis – days a week with no possible days off during the season
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a degree in Accounting
• Must be proficient with MS Office
• Must be able to take on multiple duties in a busy environment
