The South County Recovery Drop In Center (SCRDIC), located in Alexandria, VA provides a safe place for those with mental health and/or addiction challenges or for those struggling with homelessness. This center provides a stigma-free and trauma-free atmosphere for those who need computers, a shower, hot meals, laundry, a stable address, and a whole lot of understanding. In addition, the center offers computer classes, addiction groups, wellness groups and employment assistance. The Program Coordinator, in addition to supervising the center, is responsible for making the SCRDIC a welcoming place where people can enhance and maintain their recovery regardless of their present personal circumstances.
